Job DescriptionSr. Software Systems Engineer
If you’re an experienced Software Systems Engineer who enjoys solving complex manufacturing challenges and building efficient, automated workflows, this is a great opportunity to make an impact. You’ll support Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions within a regulated industry, helping improve product quality, data accuracy, and operational efficiency across a global organization.

Starting at $52/hr (Flexible Depending on experience/skillset)
The Sr. Software Systems Engineer will support system configuration and change activities throughout the product lifecycle, from development through end-of-life. The primary focus will be Camstar Manufacturing Execution System (MES), where you’ll translate manufacturing requirements into system models and workflows. You’ll also work with cross-functional teams to analyze product and process data, support compliance requirements, and ensure accurate information flows across enterprise systems.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Translate manufacturing processes and business requirements into Camstar MES models and automated workflows
- Configure, support, and optimize MES processes throughout the product lifecycle
- Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop implementation strategies and complete validation activities
- Develop and optimize SQL queries to support manufacturing and system requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve data accuracy, process efficiency, and system functionality
- Support change and configuration activities within ERP and PLM systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Work independently while managing multiple priorities and delivering projects on schedule
- Collaborate with teams across multiple departments and global locations
- Hands-on experience creating and supporting models in a Camstar MES environment
- Strong SQL query development and optimization skills
- Experience translating manufacturing process flows into automated workflows
- Technical background in manufacturing; life sciences, diagnostics, or medical devices preferred
- Experience with configuration management, operations, and/or quality in a regulated industry
- Experience with process and material changes within an ERP system; SAP preferred
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems; SAP experience is a plus
- Knowledge of ISA-95 and the relationship between enterprise and manufacturing/control systems
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to take ownership while working with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across departments and global teams
