Closed Area Systems Administrator
BAE Systems team is looking for a self-motivated and experienced Closed Area Systems Administrator for the Tomahawk Mission Planning Center (TMPC) program.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a suite of PC clients running Windows, Microsoft Office, TMPC software, and other 3rd party COTS/GOTS; servers running Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, and also TMPC software, and other 3rd party COTS/GOTS running in a virtualized environment; and other network hardware, storage, and other devices in support of the TMPC development and integration test environment.
- Position will also include cybersecurity responsibilities and maintaining the security posture of integration and development environment in accordance with BAE Systems and DoD mandated information security requirements.
- This position is 100% onsite within a closed, classified area. Some after-hours or weekend support may be required for maintenance windows or incident response.
- You must be able to lift equipment (up to 40lbs) and work within controlled environments. Position also may require travel to user, customer, and co-developing contractor sites, CONUS and OCONUS, to conduct installation, setup, configuration, and checkout testing of operational software of hardware suites.
Required Education, Experience, &
Skills:
- Experience operating within VMware infrastructure
- Proficient in Red Hat 7/8/9 administration; strong command of Linux RHEL patching workflows and package management tools (e.g., YUM/DNF)
- Strong Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Server OS administration and installation experience
- Experience with supporting classified networks
- Experience with networking concepts (DNS, LDAP, SSH/SCP, Switches, and Routers)
- Experience with cybersecurity/information assurance processes and procedures; familiarity with DISA STIGs, Nessus vulnerability scanning, and cyber compliance frameworks
- Familiarization with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- CompTIA Security+ certified
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $97008 - $164914
