Under the general supervision of the Manager, Hardware Services, performs complex professional work with computer hardware, software, and network systems. Installs and supports Key Stone servers including Unix/Linux operating systems and applications software. Installs and supports personal computers, and network operations; provides hardware and software planning and evaluation; provides problem solving and training for end users; and ensures systems efficiency and integrity.
Provides research and support for new technologies to be used in the client environment.
- Provides preliminary support for the Key Stone server installation process, which includes planning, implementing, and troubleshooting network and system hardware and software, and virtualized environments (IBM or VMWare).
- Participates in Key Stone server special projects including server replacements, migrations, and server moves. Contributing input to the planning and implementation phases.
- Supports internal staff and clients on implementing and troubleshooting PC hardware, software, and peripheral products, server access methods, encryption and Certificates and VPN connectivity as related to Key Stone.
- Creates and maintains departmental process and policy documentation, using Atlassian and Microsoft products.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
EducationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience is desired
