This contract role involves maintaining the health and security of enterprise Linux systems, primarily focusing on Red Hat Enterprise Linux versions 8 and 9. The engineer will be responsible for executing security compliance tasks, resolving vulnerabilities, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Collaboration with various technical teams and effective communication of progress and challenges are crucial for success.
Key Responsibilities:- Execute RHEL 8/9 security remediation and compliance activities.
- Address security vulnerabilities and implement necessary patches.
- Provide operational support and troubleshooting for Linux systems.
- Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams on technical initiatives.
Skills:
- Strong expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Proven ability in security remediation and vulnerability management.
- Experience with automation tools like Ansible or Puppet.
Experience:
Experience in a government-regulated industry is required, with a strong emphasis on maintaining strict compliance standards.
