Cybersecurity Operations Analyst

Work Location:

100% Onsite
• Pay Rate Range: $30-$35/HR

• Certification Requirements:
DoD 8570 IAT Level II (Must hold at least one: CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) AND Microsoft MCSA (or approved equivalent training)

Ideal for IT Service Desk professionals seeking to specialize and advance their careers in Cybersecurity. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Tier 2 Incident Response & Support:
Deliver high-touch technical and customer support via phone, email, chat, and web inquiries for RDT&E network users; thoroughly document, triage, track, and resolve security-related tickets within the designated government ticketing tool.

• Vulnerability Analysis & Triage:
Analyze security scanner findings to recommend precise patches, hotfixes, and countermeasures; conduct initial reviews of event and incident logs to perform rapid threat triage.

• Network & Endpoint Hardening:
Assist System Administrators with authenticated scanning setups, 802.1x network access control, and Comply-to-Connect (C2C) integration while supporting users with VPN configurations, endpoint security software, and unauthorized software removal.

• Compliance & STIG Implementation:
Provide direct technical support for Secure Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) configuration and verification across systems to ensure rigid baseline compliance.

• Collaborative Defense:
Partner closely with multidisciplinary cybersecurity subject matter experts to expand technical skills while safeguarding critical US Government networks. REQUIREMENTS

• Security Clearance:
Must possess an active US Government Secret clearance.

• IAT Level II Certification:
Active certification in at least one of the following: CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP.

• OS / Vendor Certification:
Microsoft MCSA or documented equivalent technical training.

• Service Desk

Experience:

1–3 years of hands-on technical experience in an IT service desk or help desk environment.

• Customer Service Excellence:
Strong written and verbal communication skills across multi-channel support environments (phone, chat, ticketing tools).
DESIRED SKILLS

• ITIL Framework:
Functional knowledge of ITIL processes; ITIL Foundation Certification is highly preferred.

• Service

Certifications:

HDI-Customer Service Representative (HDI-CSR) or other formal IT customer service credentials.

• Government QA & Compliance:
Familiarity with government RDT&E environments, log analysis, and baseline operating standards.
