Application Security Analyst (AI Training) About The Role
What if your security expertise could shape the future of AI? At Alignerr, we partner with the world's leading AI research labs to build smarter, safer AI systems — and we need experienced application security professionals to help us do it.
You’ll work with realistic, production-style security scenarios to help AI models learn how to think about vulnerabilities the way a seasoned analyst would: with nuance, context, and real exploitability in mind.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role that fits around your schedule.

- Analyze real-world application security scenarios spanning code, APIs, and system behavior
- Classify and prioritize vulnerabilities including authentication flaws, injection risks, and business logic weaknesses
- Evaluate secure coding practices and assess the quality of remediation strategies
- Build and validate security reasoning datasets that teach AI how to accurately assess and communicate application risk
- Apply your field experience to distinguish genuine exploitability from theoretical or overstated risk
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in application, product, or software security
- Solid familiarity with the OWASP Top 10 and common vulnerabilities found in production environments
- Strong instinct for real-world risk — you know the difference between a critical flaw and a theoretical edge case
- Clear, structured written communication skills when explaining security reasoning
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently on async, task-based assignments
- Experience with penetration testing, secure code review, or bug bounty programs
- Background in Dev Sec Ops or security tooling integration
- Familiarity with AI systems or data labeling workflows
- Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside top research teams
- Fully remote and async — work when and where it suits you
- Freelance perks: autonomy, flexibility, and global collaboration
- Meaningful work that advances how AI reasons about cybersecurity
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
