The Information Technology (IT) Manager is responsible for the overall management and security of information technology infrastructure and IT related components and services. This includes ensuring hardware, software, cloud-based applications, and other technology that is up-to-date, compatible, secure, and scalable with business needs and comply with current legal and regulatory requirements. This includes managing telecommunications services, business operations tech management, and other technological infrastructure.
The qualified candidate drives results ensuring that end users have smooth experience with their workstation set-up that include understanding how to use technology and work closely with staff to understand gaps in knowledge. The qualified candidate also provides effective training to close the gaps in knowledge in technology utilization and cyber security awareness.
The IT Manager must possess knowledge in business management, strategic planning, resource allocation, analysis and must have experience in directing and coordinating operational activities of complex technology department while demonstrating effective leadership, supervision and management
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategy and Planning: Developing and implementing IT strategies that align with the organization’s goals, including long-term plans for IT infrastructure, data protection, and software needs.
- Team Leadership and Management: Leading and managing the IT team, which involves hiring, training, and evaluating IT staff, as well as overseeing their daily activities and professional development. Provide effective leadership and personnel management to all Information Technology staff and contribute to the overall goals and mission of SDCHC.
- Project Management: Overseeing IT projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within the budget, and meet the organization’s requirements. Coordinating physical and cloud-based technology installations, upgrades, and maintenance
- Vendor Management: Selecting and managing relationships with technology vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the quality of third-party services.
- Security and Compliance :
Ensuring the security of the IT infrastructure and data, implementing cybersecurity measures, and complying with relevant laws and regulations. Conduct systems security evaluations, audits, and reviews. Maintain the integrity and security of the databases including issuing user security levels, conducting daily backups, and coordination of a disaster recovery plan. Manage such areas as computer systems analysis and design, database and network administration, systems programming, telecommunications systems, and other information technology applications. - Budget Management :
Developing and managing the IT budget, ensuring cost effectiveness in IT expenditures. - Technical Support and Maintenance :
Overseeing the provision of technical support and maintenance, ensuring that IT systems operate smoothly and efficiently. Testing, troubleshooting, and modifying information systems so they operate effectively. Generate performance reports on a regular frequency designated by Executive Leadership - Innovation :
