IT Technician

Description

We are seeking an experienced IT Deployment Technician to support a large-scale PC refresh initiative involving the wipe, imaging, deployment, and migration of approximately 400 Windows computers. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), Windows Autopilot, or similar imaging and deployment technologies, along with strong desktop support and troubleshooting skills. This role will focus on preparing, deploying, and supporting end-user devices while ensuring a smooth transition with minimal business disruption.

Key Responsibilities

+ Wipe, image, configure, and deploy Windows laptops and desktops.

+ Support migration and refresh activities for approximately 400 user devices.

+ Utilize Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), Windows Autopilot, or similar deployment tools to provision endpoints.

+ Configure hardware, software, user profiles, and security settings.

+ Perform data migration and user setup activities as needed.

+ Troubleshoot imaging, deployment, hardware, and software issues.

+ Enroll and manage devices in Microsoft Intune when applicable.

+ Document deployment activities and maintain accurate asset records.

+ Coordinate device swaps, user communications, and deployment schedules.

+ Provide post-deployment support to ensure successful user adoption and functionality.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

+ 2+ years of desktop support, field support, or deployment experience.

+ Hands-on experience with MDT, Windows Autopilot, SCCM, MECM, Intune, or similar endpoint deployment tools.

+ Experience imaging, provisioning, and deploying Windows 10/11 devices.

+ Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.

+ Familiarity with Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra , and device management best practices.

+ Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues.

+ Strong customer service and communication skills.

+ Ability to lift and transport computer equipment as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

+

Experience with large-scale PC refresh or migration projects.

+ Knowledge of Microsoft Intune and endpoint management.

+ CompTIA A+, Microsoft certifications, or equivalent experience.

+ Experience working in enterprise environments supporting 300+ users.
