Job Description
- 5-7 years of experience and a Bachelors degree in engineering or a related field
- Experience administering and supporting Windows and/or Linux systems
- Experience with DISA STIGs, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and DoD cybersecurity requirements
- Experience with software version control and issue tracking tools
- Security+ CE or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification
- Experience developing and maintaining scripts in Powershell, Bash and/or Python for system administration and patch deployment
- Experience supporting software testing, validation, and documentation efforts
- Ability to support configuration management, software change control, and troubleshooting activities
Insight Global is seeking a Secret Cleared software engineer to support a fully onsite team in San Diego, CA with the maintenance, security, and configuration of Windows and Linux environments. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading system software and firmware, developing automation scripts for patch deployments, supporting software testing and validation efforts, and managing software version control and configuration management processes.
The role will also focus heavily on cybersecurity compliance, including implementing security patches, performing vulnerability remediation, supporting DISA STIG compliance, conducting system hardening activities, and assisting with C&A documentation and risk assessments. The ideal candidate will have experience working on tactical shipboard systems and working hands on in a CANES environment.
