Technical Program Manager

Technical Program Manager - 12 months extendable contract (or can convert to FTE)

Hybrid in San Diego, CA (3 days onsite)

W2 only, no C2C, no sponsorship, no third parties.

A large consumer technology business is expanding a program management function that sits at the centre of a sizeable engineering organisation. The work spans several teams at once and covers programs that carry real visibility across the business, so this suits someone used to owning scope end to end rather than coordinating a single workstream.

• Substantial experience in a Technical Program Manager title, driving programs across multiple engineering teams
• Track record running scaled agile across several scrum teams, rather than single-team delivery or a scrum master remit
• Comfortable partnering day to day with engineering, product management, design, and analytics
• Able to frame problems for business stakeholders, name the help required and from whom, and drive decisions, blockers, and risks to a close
• Builds milestone plans and detailed schedules, and prioritises competing demands independently
• Confident reading dashboards and turning them into direction for the team
• Smartsheet for scheduling, plus Google Docs and Sheets
• Practical use of AI tooling in day to day program work, beyond basic chat prompting
• SaaS or cloud platform environment experience
• Exposure to customer success or customer experience programs is useful
• Able to work onsite in San Diego three days per week
