This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite at Towne Centre Drive and remote.

This role will work with Epic analysts and project team members to create end-to-end implementation project plans for JPA entities transitioning to Epic. The incumbent will ensure tasks are completed to the quality standards established under PHSO-PACC methodologies and in a timely manner, with clear ownership and accountability at every stage. This role will identify implementation risks and mitigation strategies early in the project lifecycle, and resolve issues using appropriate techniques — engaging project team members, external customers, and internal and external leadership as needed — with timely resolution and reliable follow-through.

Following the initial go-live, this role will continue to manage JPA-funded Epic projects on an ongoing basis.

• Nine (9) years of related experience, education/training,
  OR a Bachelor’s degree in related area plus five (5) years of related experience/training. Related experience: EMR implementation experience and extensive experience implementing Epic for Connect affiliates (Epic Community connect) or entities external to UC San Diego Health.
• Requires basic knowledge of project management principles, theories, and concepts.
• Requires ability to assess campus, medical center or Office of the President needs for information technology products and design services to meet those needs.
• Working knowledge of technology-related initiatives and an understanding of impact to the organization of such initiatives.
• Demonstrated capacity to anticipate obstacles and plan for contingencies.
• Demonstrated attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to determine relevance and prioritize tasks.
• Demonstrated effective writing skills.
• Demonstrated competency in selecting and implementing project management methods and techniques.

• Extensive (5 years or more) Epic community connect implementation experience.
• PMP certification.
• Epic certifications.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $111,300 - $211,100 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $53.30 - $101.10
