Position Summary

San Diego State University is seeking a technically skilled and service-oriented System Analyst to support technology operations within the Office of Housing Administration (OHA). This role oversees customer support, software systems, technical services, and student technology staff to ensure reliable technology services for residential students and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Support
  • Oversee Help Desk and Rez Con operations, including scheduling, recruitment, training, and onboarding of student staff.
  • Troubleshoot network and technology issues, manage Service Now and Star Rez cases, and support staff and residential technology needs.
  • Provide lead work direction to technology support staff and coordinate equipment, printing services, and special technology projects.
  • Software Support
  • Manage integrations, updates, and support for Star Rez, TMA, CBORD, Rez Life, TCP, Humanity, Notifi, and other OHA applications.
  • Support device and system management using Jamf, Intune, Active Directory, Azure, Remote Desktop, and related platforms.
  • Provide technical support for system configurations, upgrades, software solutions, and operational projects.
  • Technical Support Services
  • Manage and troubleshoot audiovisual equipment, networking components, VLANs, and other technology infrastructure.
  • Evaluate technology needs and recommend hardware, software, and process improvements to support OHA operations.
  • Collaborate with campus IT partners on system integrations and technology solutions that support OHA, HFS, and REO.

Position Information
  • This is a full-time (1.0 time-base), benefits eligible, permanent/probationary position.
  • This position is designated as exempt under FLSA and is not eligible for overtime compensation.
  • Standard SDSU work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs.
  • This position is eligible for telecommuting up to 1 days per week, following a training period during which on-site presence is required.

The Office of Housing Administration (OHA) is a self-funded operation responsible for planning, providing, and administering housing operations, services, and facilities with over 100 employees and more than 150 student assistants. With an annual operating budget exceeding $159 million, OHA provides housing for over 9,000 students, live-in professional staff, and faculty across 25 residential buildings totaling more than 2 million square feet of residential facilities.

OHA also operates SDSU-IV housing at the Imperial Valley campus. OHA manages the operation of residence halls, apartments, and conference and event spaces.
