This is a fully remote, flexible contract role open to anyone with strong listening skills and a careful eye for detail. No professional transcription experience required.

• Transcribe audio recordings into accurate written text following clear, structured guidelines
• Handle a variety of speakers, accents, speeds, and audio quality levels
• Apply consistent formatting, punctuation, and style rules across all transcriptions
• Flag unclear or inaudible segments and note speaker changes where relevant
• Meet quality and turnaround targets for each assigned batch
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule

• A strong, attentive listener with a sharp ear for detail
• Accurate and reasonably fast typist
• Patient and methodical when working through challenging audio — accents, background noise, overlapping speech
• Comfortable following detailed written guidelines and applying them consistently
• Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
• No professional transcription or AI experience required

• Prior experience with transcription tools or platforms
• Familiarity with a range of English accents or dialects
• Background in journalism, captioning, or content production
