Location: Del Mar, CA
Salary: $70,000-$100,000 DOE
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, 9:00 AM start

About the Role

A well‑established law firm in Del Mar is seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Paralegal to join our collaborative team. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys working closely with attorneys and clients, and is comfortable handling complex estate planning and trust administration matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and e‑file court documents, including real property documents and probate filings.
  • Support attorneys with all aspects of probate, estate planning, and trust administration.
  • Draft estate planning documents, inventories, accountings, and correspondence.
  • Manage key deadlines, maintain organized case files, and ensure compliance with court and statutory requirements.
  • Assist with Federal Estate Tax Returns (Form 706) and other IRS filings.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, CPA firms, financial advisors, and other third parties.
  • Collaborate with a large, supportive team and assist with additional projects as needed.
Top Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Trusts & Estates paralegal experience in a law firm or CPA setting.
  • ABA‑approved paralegal certificate or signed attestation of paralegal qualifications.
  • Strong experience with e‑filing and filing real property and court documents.
  • Solid background in probate, estate planning, and trust administration, with an ability to provide a clear breakdown of past case involvement.
  • Experience working in or with CPA firms is highly valued; familiarity with Form 706 and other tax‑related filings preferred.
  • Demonstrated team‑player mentality and willingness to collaborate within a large, dynamic team.
