Job Details

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and deadlines. You will support the team in various aspects of employment litigation, including but not limited to, document preparation, e-filing, scheduling, calendaring, and civil procedure. This role demands a strong sense of urgency and the ability to work independently on assignments with sound judgment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive legal support to attorneys, including preparing and filing legal documents in state and federal courts.
  • Manage and maintain attorneys' calendars, including scheduling appointments, court dates, and deadlines.
  • Assist in all aspects of employment litigation, including discovery, trial preparation, and case management.
  • Conduct legal research as needed and assist in the preparation of legal memorandums.
  • Facilitate the e-filing process in various courts and ensure all documents are filed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain electronic files and case management databases, ensuring all information is up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Respond to inquiries from clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all client information, in accordance with ethical obligations and company policy.
Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or similar role in a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • Extensive knowledge of employment litigation and civil procedure.
  • Proficiency in e-filing in state and federal courts.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research and legal terminology.
  • Knowledge of legal document formatting and preparation.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating sound judgment and initiative.
