Litigation Paralegal
Location: San Diego, CA
Pay: $44–$48 per hour
Position Type: Contract to Hire, Hybrid (2 days onsite / 3 days remote), Full-Time
LHH is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Paralegal to support a prestigious law firm in Downtown San Diego on a contract-to-hire basis. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience handling wage & hour matters, PAGA actions, and filings in both state and federal courts. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and able to manage complex litigation with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in all phases of employment litigation, from initial case preparation through trial.
- Draft and prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence.
- Manage discovery processes: document review, organization, summaries, and production.
- Independently handle court filings and adhere to state and federal filing deadlines.
- Prepare deposition binders, exhibit lists, trial binders, and evidentiary materials.
- Conduct legal research and gather case-relevant information.
- Maintain organized case files, calendars, deadlines, and litigation workflows.
- Communicate professionally with clients, experts, court staff, and opposing counsel.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7+ years of employment litigation experience.
- Strong background in wage & hour and PAGA litigation required.
- State and federal court filing experience is mandatory.
- Paralegal certificate preferred (ABA-approved ideal).
- Proficiency with litigation support software and e-filing systems.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, written, and verbal communication skills.
