RRC Law Group is a small law firm in La Jolla focused on family law and estate planning
. Our work includes divorce, custody disputes, domestic violence matters, and estate planning for individuals and families throughout San Diego.
We are looking for a highly organized and dependable Legal Assistant to join our office. Prior legal experience is helpful but not required
. Candidates who demonstrate strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to stay organized will be given strong consideration. We are willing to train the right person who shows initiative, reliability, and a commitment to doing high-quality work.
Compensation for this position ranges from $20 to $27 per hour
, depending on experience, organizational skills, and overall fit for the role.
This is a full-time, in-office position in La Jolla.
Responsibilities- Prepare and format legal documents
- Organize and maintain client files
- Assist with case management and tracking deadlines
- Communicate with clients regarding scheduling and document collection
- Coordinate filings with courts and communicate with court staff
- Maintain attorney calendars and schedule appointments
- General administrative support to keep cases and the office running smoothly
- Assist with preparing and maintaining timekeeping and billing entries for attorney work and case-related activities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Dependable and professional work habits
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Comfort working with computers and office software
- Ability to learn new systems and procedures quickly
