Hutchinson & Bloodgood is conducting a confidential search on behalf of our San Diego-based boutique law firm client focused on corporate, transactional, and securities law. This fast-growing boutique firm is seeking a highly motivated Corporate and Transactional Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team! As the Corporate and Transactional Associate, you will support a portfolio of sophisticated transactional legal work across various industries.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and transactional documents
- Conducting due diligence for mergers and acquisitions
- Advising clients on corporate governance matters
- Assisting with securities regulatory compliance
- Performing other related duties as necessary or assigned
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a 'roll up your sleeves' self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of transactional and corporate legal experience
- Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and transactional documents
- Strong working knowledge of due diligence processes for mergers and acquisitions
- Solid understanding of corporate governance and securities regulatory compliance
- Must be an active member of the California Bar with a Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and take initiative within a collaborative environment

The compensation for this position ranges from $140,000 - $180,000. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the individual’s qualifications, experience, skills, licensure, and certifications.
