About the role:
PKL Services will be providing contractor Organizational Level (O‑Level) maintenance in support to 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (3rd MAW) squadrons on both Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, CA, and Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, CA.
The Supply Technician provides material and supply support to the organizational maintenance department. An effective aircraft organizational maintenance department depends upon a cooperative working relationship between production and supply. In the organizational maintenance department, the Maintenance Control work center acts as a liaison between the maintenance department and the local supply activity. Supply Technicians make sure that the proper parts, tools, and equipment are available to the production divisions in the required quantity and at the proper time.
AdditionalDuties
- Ensure that material support to the unit is provided.
- Coordinate indirect material requirements to ensure the material ordered is the material required and delivered to the work centers.
- Establish delivery/pickup points for material ordered.
- Receive requirements from work centers and support areas.
- Use appropriate automated procedures to provide data to the Aviation Supply Department (ASD).
- Ensure that the date and time ordered in the parts register reflects the exact time of submission to the Aviation Supply Department (ASD). This time is required for determining accurate NMCS start time and conducting follow‑up inquiries.
- Ensure that when a repairable item is delivered by supply the defective component must be available for simultaneous exchange. He ensures that signatures are obtained for retrograde material.
- Maintain liaison with the supporting ASD on maintenance material matters to ensure that the material needs of the unit are satisfied.
- Furnish information to the Supply activity on the identity and quantity of material.
- Ensure surveys are prepared in the event of loss, damage, or destruction of accountable material.
- Maintain adequate accountability of material and equipment on custody.
- Assist Maintenance Control with information that is related to the maintenance departments ASD requisitions.
- Ensure material control personnel monitor and update the NALCOMIS Supply & Maintenance Information System (MIS) register.
- Perform any other duties assigned by Site Management.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of four (4) years experience in OOMA/NALCOMIS and supply chain and material management skills or equivalent.
- Experience in managing supply functions such as storage, issue, inspection, research, repairable processing, shipping, receiving, warehousing, aircraft maintenance support, preparing MILSTRIP requisitions, and accounting for aircraft parts and equipment.
- Knowledgable in the Aviation 3M system support actions.
- Thorough understanding or be familiar and proficient with NALCOMIS automated maintenance documentation system.
- U.S. citizen and able to read, write and understand the English language.
- Working knowledge of the CNAFINST 4790.2, naval maintenance publications.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass a local background check.
