Logistics Operations Specialist Job Summary
The Logistics Operations Specialist supports daily third-party logistics operations, manages carrier performance, coordinates outbound shipments, monitors KPIs, and contributes to optimizing transportation processes.
Responsibilities- Coordinate third-party logistics operations, including intermodal, over-the-road, and cross-border freight.
- Manage outbound LTL, FTL, and intermodal shipments from planning through delivery.
- Coordinate dedicated truck operations and load planning.
- Monitor carrier performance and KPIs while maintaining strong carrier relationships.
- Use Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Yard Management Systems (YMS) to manage shipment data.
- Track and trace shipments, ensure timely proof of delivery collection, and support invoicing.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures to improve transportation efficiency and maximize carrier utilization.
- Provide high-quality service to internal and external customers.
- 3‑5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, dispatch, or supply chain operations.
- Experience with TMS, WMS, dispatch operations, and carrier management.
- Strong analytical skills with experience tracking KPIs and identifying process improvements.
- Intermediate Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor s degree preferred.
- Experience with cross‑border logistics, especially between the U.S. and Mexico, is highly desirable.

- Proven experience managing outbound LTL, FTL, and intermodal shipments
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes and support SOP development
- Experience in cross-border freight operations preferred
- High school diploma or GED; bachelor s degree preferred
