Job Title
You will provide direct stock control management functions to all ships supported by the LST through all phases of supply including requirements determination, acquisition, local purchase, distribution, financial, issue, retention, and disposal.
You will provide On-The-Job Training (OJT) to co-workers on supply principles.
You will order the correct quantities and types of repair parts (Depot Level repairables and consumable material).
You will process customer orders/receipts into the R-Supply database, updating of customer profiles to ensure correct account billing.
You will conduct database data input, submit requisition follow ups, and track requisition status.
You will prepare and coordinate identification, removal, packing, and transfer / disposal of excess stock items including shelf-life expired material.

Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of General Supply Specialist experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying practical knowledge of a wide range of well-established and commonly applied supply principles, concepts, methodologies, regulations, policies, and instructions related to all aspects of supply and logistical shipboard support including organizing and analyzing varied data to identify and resolve supply and logistic problems associated with providing direct supply support, husbanding issues, and port services for ship support.
Specialized experience demonstrates the following:
1) Research and/or analyze a variety of supply issues and concerns in order to make decisions that impact ship readiness and material procurement;
2) Provide guidance and support regarding supply/logistics management processes and material procedures in order to support supply, logistics, husbanding, training and support for ships;
3) Analyze and recommend ways to solve material support problems;
4) Utilize various databases to review and validate outstanding requisitions to include (but not limited to) inventory allowance fills, stock, and direct turn-over materials;
5) Provide inventory maintenance to include material sorting, receipt, stowage, issue, and disposal; and accountable records keeping and records retention; and
6) Provide stock control management including: financial maintenance functions to include funds acceptance, distribution, obligation, execution, augmentation, and reconciliation.
