BUSINESS PROCESS ANALYST – SUPPLY CHAIN

  • LOCATION: San Diego, CA – Onsite
  • SCHEDULE: Standard Working Hours
  • DURATION: 4-Month Contract
  • PAY: 40-45 USD per hour

In this role, you will support day-to-day supply chain operations for clinical laboratory activities, ensuring materials and patient samples are available and delivered on time.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting daily supply chain execution for laboratory operations.
  • Monitoring material availability, order status, and delivery timelines.
  • Coordinating with Planning, Inventory, Logistics, Quality, Finance, and Operations teams.
  • Supporting cost-saving initiatives and other supply chain projects.
  • Identifying and resolving purchasing, receiving, invoice, and delivery discrepancies.
  • Maintaining accurate material master data and following up on material change requests.
  • Monitoring open purchase orders and expediting delayed orders when necessary.
  • Tracking inbound patient samples and coordinating with suppliers and logistics partners to resolve delivery issues.
  • Communicating material status, supply risks, delays, and constraints to key stakeholders.
  • Ensuring supply chain activities align with clinical laboratory procedures and applicable CLIA/CAP standards.
Essential Duties and

Job Functions:
  • Coordinate material ordering activities and monitor order status through completion.
  • Follow up with suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding delayed or incomplete orders.
  • Expedite materials when necessary and upscale supply issues that may impact laboratory operations.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies involving purchasing, receiving, invoices, and deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate material master data within applicable systems.
  • Track and coordinate completion of material change requests within the ILS quality system.
  • Partner with Quality teams to support updates to supply chain and quality-related documentation.
  • Monitor inbound patient sample shipments and address delivery issues.
  • Communicate supply risks and material availability issues to Planning, Inventory, and Operations teams.
  • Support cost-saving and process-improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure activities are performed in accordance with applicable clinical laboratory procedures and CLIA/CAP standards.
  • Perform other supply chain-related duties as assigned based on business needs.
Knowledge &

Skills:
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes and operations.
  • Experience with purchasing, procurement, inventory, logistics, or material management.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to monitor multiple orders, projects, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to identify, elevate, and resolve supply issues.
  • Experience working with suppliers and external logistics partners.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems;
    SAP experience is a plus

  • Understanding of clinical laboratory procedures and CLIA/CAP standards is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • 2–5 years of supply chain-related experience.
  • Procurement or purchasing experience preferred.
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.
  • Experience supporting laboratory, healthcare, life sciences, or regulated environments is preferred.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and external suppliers preferred.
