Associate Global Sourcing Manager
This position supports sourcing initiatives for private-label products. The role involves managing supplier relationships, leading sourcing projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring new products from concept to launch. The ideal candidate is an adaptable, resilient, and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in sourcing and vendor management who can thrive in a dynamic and evolving organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage domestic and international supplier relationships, serving as the primary point of contact and troubleshooting issues.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, including sourcing products, conducting negotiations, and evaluating opportunities.
- Partner on the development of new products, supporting the entire lifecycle from concept through launch.
- Analyze product costing, understand cost drivers, challenge supplier pricing, and ensure profitability targets are met.
- Work across multiple global time zones, which requires schedule flexibility for meetings.
- Coordinate with internal merchandising, product, design, and inventory teams to drive projects and support product launches.
- Identify and communicate issues to appropriate parties and bring them to resolution.
- Continually search for and identify opportunities for cost optimization and margin enhancement.
Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Experience:
2-3+ years of sourcing experience, including vendor management, supplier relationship management, or direct/indirect procurement. Experience with domestic sourcing is acceptable.
Technical
Skills:
Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data organization, cost analysis, and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in global sourcing.
- Background in a retail or consumer products environment.
- Previous experience supporting product development.
