Logistics Coordinator

Altius Talent is partnering with an established logistics provider seeking an experienced Domestic Logistics Coordinator to join its San Diego operation.

This position will manage complex, high-value and time-critical shipments across the United States, with a particular focus on airfreight, trade shows, medical devices and specialist cargo.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate domestic air, FTL, LTL and expedited shipments
• Manage shipments from initial booking through final delivery
• Select and negotiate with carriers based on service, cost and urgency
• Provide customers with proactive shipment updates
• Prepare quotes and maintain accurate operational records
• Resolve delays, exceptions and service issues
• Work closely with carriers, customers and internal departments
• Ensure documentation and billing information are completed accurately

Requirements

• Previous domestic freight forwarding or logistics experience
• Strong knowledge of domestic air and ground transportation
• Experience handling urgent, high-value or complex freight
• Confident communicating with customers and carriers
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments
• Calm, commercially aware and solutions-focused under pressure
