Manage end-to-end logistics and the efficient flow of goods, services, and information from origin to final customer placement
Control inventory through Navy ERP and manage replenishment, data interchange, demand management, and order management
Ensure customer service and schedule objectives are met within financial constraints
Build and maintain relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives
Source, receive, ship, and track materials
Manage inventory and assets in ERP systems
Move materials between facilities and assemble and package installation kits
Support procurement, warehousing, transportation, and material handling for ship alterations and production or project needs
Coordinate Government-provided items with the planning yard and execute procurements
Package, kit, and audit Fleet Modernization Planning and Shipbuilding and Conversion, Navy installation kits
Continuously improve standard logistics processes
- 6 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; 4 years relevant experience with a Master's degree in a related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
- Must be able to obtain and maintain base access
- Experience coordinating inventory management, warehousing, and transportation activities
- Ability to travel to vendor or Government locations to pick up or deliver materials
- Experience with sourcing, receiving, purchasing, and managing shipping, receiving, and storage of materials
- Experience moving materials between facilities and operating Weight Handling Equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts, and overhead cranes
- Experience crating, palletizing, strapping, chain binding, and rigging heavy equipment for movement
- Experience providing installation kitting support and reviewing installation drawings
- Experience packaging, kitting, and auditing FMP and SCN installation kits
- Experience using Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) to place shipping orders, manage inventory, apply location and condition codes, and maintain asset accountability
- Ability to work in a shipboard environment
- Ability to lift, carry, and transport heavy equipment
- A current, valid DoD security clearance is preferred
Demonstrates expertise in logistics management, including inventory control, procurement, and transportation within a military or defense context. Proficient in using Navy ERP systems for efficient material handling and asset management.
