Role Description The Freight Forwarding Operations Agent is a full-time, on-site role based in San Diego, CA. This position is responsible for coordinating day-to-day freight forwarding activities, including booking shipments, preparing documentation, and tracking cargo for international and domestic moves. The agent will communicate directly with customers, carriers, and vendors to ensure timely pickups, deliveries, and resolution of operational issues. Daily tasks include data entry in transportation management systems, monitoring shipment status, handling export procedures, and maintaining accurate records for compliance.

The role also involves providing responsive customer service, supporting project logistics, and collaborating with internal teams to meet service and performance standards.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Freight Forwarding and Forwarding to coordinate shipments and manage end-to-end logistics processes.
• Candidates should possess skills in Export procedures to prepare documentation and ensure compliance with international shipping regulations.
• Candidates should possess strong Customer Service skills to communicate effectively with clients and provide timely updates on shipment status.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of Freight Transportation to work with carriers, understand modes of transport, and optimize routing.
• Relevant qualifications include experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations, preferably within a freight forwarding environment.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously.
• Proficiency with common office software and transportation/logistics systems; experience with export documentation platforms is a plus.
• Ability to work on-site in San Diego, CA, collaborate with team members, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
