Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. is seeking a full time EMD Support Lead in San Diego, CA.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversees all aspects of daily EMD accomplishment, providing “hands on” technical support to assigned technicians as necessary.
- Ensures all work assigned to technicians is done so in an equal and fair manner in alignment with individual abilities and technical backgrounds.
- Maintain high standards of work, monitoring technicians’ daily productivity and conducting periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality.
- Tracks and approves employee time documentation, ensuring compliance with company timekeeping policy and accurate alignment to projects as required.
- Coordinate leave of assigned personnel, ensuring adequate coverage to support workload.
- Maintain harmony and teamwork.
- Assists with skill development.
- Consults with supervisor to address corrective actions on areas of weakness and dealing with conflict.
- Perform a variety of preventative maintenance checks in accordance with prescribed Navy Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs).
- Validate system/equipment tag out/lock out as required.
- Comply with all and PPE requirements as required for assigned maintenance.
- Utilize a range of basic hand tools to accomplish assigned maintenance checks.
- Advise supervision of any equipment and/or material deficiencies encountered during the performance of assigned maintenance.
- Ensure systems/equipment are tagged out in accordance with MRC requirements prior to commencing work. Notify supervision of breached in tag out requirements.
- Advise supervision of all assigned maintenance completed in its entirety.
- Pre-stage maintenance enclosures/trailers with required tools, material and PPE as required for upcoming scheduled ships maintenance availabilities.
- Advise supervision of any maintenance tools, material and/or PPE deficiencies.
- Be available to perform overtime duties as required to meet ships planned maintenance availability deadlines.
- Be available for out of area travel within the Continental U.S to support ships maintenance availabilities as required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 years related work experience, Navy and/or maritime industry preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD clearance
- Able to obtain and maintain access (DBIDS) to military installations and private shipyards.
- Prior 3-M Maintenance Person 301 Qualification.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and skills.
- Knowledge of Lockout Tag-out procedures.
- Active listening, effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret PMS cards, technical drawings and other technical documentation.
- 1 year of experience in providing work assignments, monitoring work progress and reviewing work of other technicians.
The pay range for this role is $32.30 To $35.00 Hourly. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

- Requires working, walking, reaching, sitting and concentration in the presence of noise.
- Ability to move in narrow and restricted passageways, up/down steep and narrow ladders or stairways.
- Ability to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lbs. in weight.
- Noise conditions range from very quiet to loud.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and steel-toe boots.
