* About the Role:

*
* As a CBRE Maintenance Assistant, you will perform basic maintenance tasks. This includes vendor escorting, preventative maintenance, and repair duties. We're looking for a dependable and hands-on Maintenance Assistant to support everyday facilities tasks and light maintenance at our commercial properties in San Diego. This role helps keep our spaces functional, and manufacturing ready-inside and out.

This job is part of the Maintenance function. They are responsible for providing world-class customer service to the clients and visitors of a designated building.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Escort      various vendors/third party contractors during visits to the property for work      on equipment, engineering spaces, and shared areas.

+ Perform      light repairs and upkeep across the facility, including:

+ Painting      walls and floors in mechanical rooms

+ Touch-up      painting in office spaces

+ Refinishing      and painting outdoor picnic tables and site furnishings

+ Conduct      regular walkthroughs to identify minor repair needs

+ Assist      with general cleaning and tidying of facility-controlled areas

+ Support      the Facilities team with seasonal projects and special tasks

+ Communicate      any issues or supply needs to the Lead Technician

+ Perform      physical tasks such as loading, unloading, and moving materials.

+ Organize      inventory of storage rooms to ensure contents are stocked.

+ Respond      to employee desk moves and equipment relocation.

+ Follow      government and company regulations related to building operations and work      safety.

+ Complete      general labor work as assigned. This includes office furniture repairs,      replacing ceiling and carpet tile, and ad hoc requests.

+ Complete      Work Orders in the client's CMMS.

+ Help      maintenance staff, engineers, and company vendors with special projects as      needed. Review work upon completion of a project to ensure all      deliverables are achieved.

+ Answer      common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or      supervisor.

+ Use      existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a      limited opportunity to exercise discretion.

+ Impact      through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in      detail.

+ Deliver      own output by following defined procedures and processes under close      supervision and guidance.

** What You'll Need:*
* + High School Diploma or GED with up to 2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.

+ Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

+ Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.

+ Communication skills to exchange straightforward information

+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

+ Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

+ Basic math skills. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
