Night Supervisor

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and experienced Janitorial Supervisor to lead our custodial team. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a positive attitude, and hands‑on experience with floor care (including terrazzo, ESD, and other specialty surfaces). • Supervise daily operations of janitorial staff to ensure all cleaning duties are completed effectively and efficiently
• Oversee and coordinate nightly service requests, ensuring all work orders and special tasks are completed and documented properly
• Process and submit janitorial staff payroll accurately and on time, including reviewing timesheets and attendance
• Develop and implement detailed cleaning schedules and procedures for all areas of the facility
• Train team members on proper cleaning techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols
• Maintain adequate inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; place timely orders to avoid shortages
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure all areas meet cleanliness and safety standards
• Respond promptly to maintenance or cleaning issues and ensure timely resolution
• Maintain open communication with facility managers and provide regular updates on operations
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, health, and safety standards as well as company policies
• Promote a positive, professional, and respectful work environment among janitorial staff
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive coaching and feedback
• Assist with recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new janitorial staff
• Collaborate with other departments for special project coordination and event setup/cleanup
• Keep accurate records of cleaning schedules, supply usage, payroll, attendance, and nightly service request logs
• Continually assess and improve cleaning procedures for increased efficiency and quality
• Lead by example with a strong work ethic, professionalism, and commitment to service excellence

• Prior experience in janitorial supervision or team leadership in a custodial/facilities setting
• Proficient in floor care techniques, including terrazzo, ESD flooring, and other specialty surfaces
• Understanding of payroll processes and timekeeping systems
• Strong organizational, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety data sheets (SDS)
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required
• Flexible availability, including evening and weekend shifts as needed
