Overview
White Sands, a Human Good life plan community in La Jolla, CA, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team.
Responsibilities- Assist the Director of Buildings & Grounds in overseeing the work of the Maintenance Team.
- Schedule, direct and participate in specialized maintenance and repairs; review and inspect the work of direct reports; enforce safety requirements.
- Maintain the physical environment of the community; assign, assist and supervise day-to-day maintenance functions; interpret department policies and procedures.
- Interface with residents and resident families regarding maintenance problems and information requests; present a professional image and ensure resident satisfaction.
- Assigns job tasks and oversees the work of maintenance staff.
- Schedule and set priorities of work orders; maintain and repair all interior facilities.
- Maintain all associated equipment, machines and tools including asset management in Worxhub.
- Order and inventory maintenance supplies, materials and tools.
- Train maintenance staff to perform residential building maintenance.
- Write and conduct performance reviews and coordinate employee recognition activities for the department.
- Log invoices and follow up on past-due invoices.
- Oversee maintenance of grounds, buildings and facilities.
- Manage the property’s preventative maintenance program meeting all local, state and federal guidelines for life safety and licensure requirements.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Associates’ degree and/or completion of trade school preferred.
- Two years’ supervisory experience preferred.
- 4-6 years’ experience in general or commercial maintenance required.
- CFC Certification preferred to perform HVAC, EPA.
- CPO certification preferred.
Schedule:
Full-time, salaried position — Monday–Friday 8:00 am–4:30 pm with weekends and evenings as needed. Also responsible for being on-call for emergencies.
Pay Range: $70,000-$75,000, based on education and experience.
