Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Summary:

Essential Functions:

o Performs general interior and exterior building maintenance. Includes preventative maintenance and repair work orders for minor mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs.
o Completes special tasks that include painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests, special cleaning, and general maintenance as assigned
o Maintain and repair plumbing components including toilets, urinals, lavatories, flush valves
o Maintain and repair locks, locking mechanisms, door closer, doors, controllers
o General office maintenance - hang pictures, install keyboard trays, repair office furniture systems
o Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment and other materials as requested
o Maintain light bulbs and ballast.
o Prepare, prime and paint building interior and exterior surfaces.
o Recognizes danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
o Maintains compliance with State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.
o Complete all required safety training as scheduled
o Comply with all policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
o Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license (if mobile).
o Updates work order status in real time.
o Escalates problems or issues to team in a timely manner.
o Attends work and safety meetings as required.
o Experience in controlled working environments a plus.
o All other duties and tasks assigned.

Requirements:

o Strong communication and interpersonal skills
o The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.
o Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
o The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects that may be 25+ pounds.
o The ability to see and hear details in order to identify and diagnose problems.

Hours are Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM

Expected compensation for this position: 45,400.00 – 55,400.00 USD per year Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
