Northrop Grumman is seeking Principal/Project Manager Level 2/3. This individual contributor will work side by side with the Program Manager and Integrated Product Team (IPT) lead on execution, program reporting, monitoring performance, managing risks, addressing issues and other special projects, as needed. This shift is for A shift.

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of project and schedules. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client‑satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with IPT, and line managers.

The candidate should understand program management and they should adhere to NG processes and apply them to working internal projects. They should have knowledge of industry practices and standards and demonstrate the skill and ability to perform professional tasks. This individual should possess leadership and team building capabilities and have strong interpersonal skills. Must possess solid organization abilities and be a motivated, flexible team player.

Some travel may be required.

Responsibilities
  • Assess project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and reporting status
  • Development, implementation, and maintenance of tools/templates for monitoring project progress
  • Preparation of status reports and presentations for NGC internal and Customer meetings
  • Conduct risk & opportunity management practices including identification, mitigation and realization, and ensure compliance to customer and program risk management requirements
Basic Qualifications

Principal Project Management Level 2:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of related experience or similar fields OR:
    Masters with 0 years of experience in similar fields.
  • Experience with Microsoft tool suite; the ability to create, manage, and manipulate the tools, especially PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Teams
  • Proven success managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Understanding of the Integrated Management Framework (IMF)
  • Experience with interfacing with all levels of employees and Leadership

Principal Project Management Level 3:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related experience or similar field OR:
    Masters with 3 years of experience in similar fields OR;
    PhD with 1 years of experience in.
  • Experience with Microsoft tool suite; the ability to create, manage, and manipulate the tools, especially PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Teams
  • Proven success managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Understanding of the Integrated Management Framework (IMF)
  • Experience with interfacing with all levels of employees and Leadership
