Job DescriptionEnhanced Landscape Management (ELM) is a landscape industry leader in California and Nevada with over 600 landscape maintenance professionals. Enhanced Arbor Management (EAM) is the tree care division of ELM. We offer comprehensive landscape care to a wide array of clients such as homeowner associations, commercial facilities, hospitality/resort, retail, office parks, high‑end estates and public works. Our growth and success has created the immediate need to grow our team of dedicated professionals.
We are seeking a Tree Care Manager for South San Diego County.
The primary goal for a Tree Care Manager is to lead, sustain and grow the business. This will be accomplished by your leadership efforts, spearheading sales efforts, improving operating efficiencies, staff training/development, while overseeing and maintaining quality and safety at all levels.
General Duties- Develop sales leads by a combination of cold‑calling and expanding upon existing client relationships.
- Identify and develop growth and expansion opportunities in the assigned region.
- Build and maintain trust with decision makers.
- Properly assess client needs and analyze what services should be proposed including: disease treatment, hazardous conditions, removals, pruning/trimming, cabling/bracing, etc.
- Estimate, propose and sell tree care services in the local service area.
- Schedule and complete tree service projects.
- Hire, train, develop, coach and lead the local tree care field team.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on‑time, on‑budget and of high quality.
- Address any service concerns.
- Ensure tree services are billed timely and accurately.
- Meet or exceed business plan relating to budget, revenue, profit, etc.
- Perform regular site inspections to ensure quality standards are being met.
- Regularly communicate (written, verbal and in‑person) with clients.
- Drive a culture of safety excellence in field.
- Demonstrate role‑model behaviors – operating ethically and with high integrity.
- Communicate division president of Enhanced Arbor Management to ensure objectives and goals are being met.
- Manage time approval process (payroll) for local tree service field staff.
- ISA Certified Arborist or willingness/ability to obtain (company will pay for training and certification for the right candidate).
- Minimum of two years of experience in tree service sales and operations management in the commercial landscape industry.
- Have and maintain a professional image.
- Demonstrated ability to sell tree care services.
- Strong communication skills – written and verbal.
- Have strong work ethic and be able to effectively manage time.
- Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
- Must pass pre‑employment drug screening.
- Clean driving history.
- Base salary range of $100,000 – $120,000 depending on background, experience and qualifications + uncapped commission earning potential.
