As an Account Director (Facility Management/Janitorial), reporting to the District Manager, you will provide full oversight of custodial services and leadership of our team of staff. In this role you will be client‑facing and responsible for the successful execution of the scope of projects, delivering key deliverables for our company, managing profit and loss, human resources, operational excellence, and the health and safety of our employees.

YOUR

WORK WILL INCLUDE:
  • Client Retention and Relationship Management – embed retention as a daily process through thoughtful action and attitude, using the Tenacity Client for Life methodology.
  • Visible account‑level presence to foster and maintain effective relationships with all clients.
  • Align key Dexterra contacts with client titles and create a relationship matrix (Web of Influence).
  • Proactively identify client needs and ensure timely delivery of solutions to maintain satisfaction and exceed expectations.
  • Communicate performance expectations clearly, monitor progress, and reward achievements to ensure operational plans, goals, and budgets are met.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess service quality and address client feedback effectively.
  • Oversee resource allocation to ensure optimal staffing levels and efficient use of resources.
  • Develop and implement strategic account plans aligned with company goals and client expectations.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective actions as needed to achieve targets.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align operations with overall business strategy and client objectives.
  • Act as a talent scout, using networks to identify, recruit, and vet proposed Dexterra team members.
  • Ensure succession plans are reviewed regularly and career growth is supported by personalized development plans.
  • Mentor and coach team members to foster professional growth and enhance performance.
  • Promote a culture of safety by ensuring adherence to health and safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct safety audits and collaborate with teams to mitigate risks and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Maintain a strategic selling mindset, utilizing the Miller Heiman sales methodology and process to drive growth and client retention.
  • Identify opportunities for expanding service offerings and collaborate with the business development team to pursue new business opportunities.
  • Manage profit and loss for the account, ensuring financial targets are met without compromising quality.
  • Conduct financial analyses to identify cost‑saving opportunities and optimize budget management.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
  • 3+ years of proven experience in facility management, janitorial services, or related industries.
  • Fully bilingual (English and Spanish) with ability to communicate professionally in both languages.
  • Extensive background in managing large‑scale facilities or service operations.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a client‑centric approach.
  • Ability to inspire and lead diverse teams while fostering collaboration and accountability.
