Product Test Technician

The Test Technician / Assembly Line Lead builds and tests medical devices, executes reliability and functional test protocols, and provides leadership to the production line. The role supports quality, documentation accuracy, and compliant manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities
  • Perform in-process testing, functional checks, and final quality verifications per approved test methods.
  • Conduct electrical, mechanical, leak, visual, dimensional, and reliability tests as required.
  • Operate calibrated test equipment (e.g., safety analyzers, leak testers, force gauges, multimeters, vacuum chambers, VHP/sterilization indicators, etc.).
  • Accurately document all testing results in travelers, logs, or electronic systems (eQMS/MES).
  • Conduct troubleshooting, root-cause identification, and minor repair/rework under engineering guidance.
  • Support validation and reliability builds, including sample preparation, measurement, and data capture.
  • Escalate failures, out-of-tolerance conditions, or deviations immediately per procedure.
  • Lead daily assembly operations for the production line, ensuring efficient workflow and proper staffing.
  • Train, mentor, and support assemblers on proper techniques, work instructions (WI), and handling requirements.
  • Assign daily tasks, track progress, and ensure work is completed to schedule.
  • Perform device and sub-assembly builds following approved WIs, drawings, and traveler documentation.
  • Monitor production inventory; notify supervisors of shortages or upcoming needs.
  • Ensure all personnel follow safety, ESD, cleanliness, and gowning requirements.

  • Able to follow detailed test protocols, both in written and verbal form
  • Able to document results and observations clearly and legibly
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Familiar with electro‑mechanical assemblies
  • Experience with hand tools, test equipment, measurement tools
  • Organized, detail oriented
  • Able to read and write in English
  • Experience with VHP sterilization, bubble leak testing, electrical safety testing
  • Experience testing electro‑mechanical devices
  • Experience in assembly of electro‑mechanical medical devices and operation of associated equipment
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 2 years experience assembling/testing medical devices

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
