Leidos’ Defense Systems Space Sensing is seeking an Assembly, Integration and Test Technician to join our team in San Diego, California. * Perform mechanical and structural assembly of aerospace components per work instructions, blueprints, and engineering drawings.

* Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and test equipment to assemble, fit, and install parts and components.

* Conduct inspections of in-process and completed assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.

* Prepare and apply surface coatings (e.g., primers, sealants, bonding agents) according to engineering documentation and process specifications (preferred).

* Fast-paced, collaborative manufacturing setting.

* May require standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and wearing PPE.

* Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required to meet production schedules.
Basic Qualifications.
* High school diploma/GED
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, engineering documents, and assembly instructions.
* Proficient in using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
* Strong mechanical aptitude and hand-eye coordination.
* Basic computer skills and familiarity with ERP/shop floor systems.
* Must be able to work overtime, including weekends and second or third shift as required.
* Must be a US Citizen and meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications .
* Associate degree or vocational training in manufacturing, aerospace, or mechanical technology preferred.

* Experience in aerospace coatings, including surface prep, masking, application of primers/sealants, or anti-corrosion treatments.

* Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001 quality systems, or NADCAP requirements.

* Certifications in aerospace manufacturing or coatings (e.g., NACE, SSPC, AWS) a plus.

* Prior work in a cleanroom or high-reliability manufacturing environment.
