Job Summary

The Assembler prepares and performs routine electronic and mechanical assembly operations at unit and module assembly level using blueprints, work instructions, ECOs, deviations, drawings, diagrams, and written processes. The assembler also assembles and inspects components, parts, subassemblies, and assemblies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observe all safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Assemble components into a final configured product using process instructions, engineering documentation, specialized tooling and fixtures, measuring equipment, and hand tools.
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, parts lists, operation sheets, and visual aids; recommend changes to improve build processes.
  • Perform rework from test failures following standard repair procedures; incorporate ECNs into completed boards.
  • Prep and insert electronic components onto circuit boards, hand‑solder components, touch up, and rework circuit boards.
  • Verify product quality at required intervals and confirm accuracy of all work.
  • Provide training and support to lower‑level assemblers as needed.
  • Operate material handling equipment, read and interpret engineering documentation, layout, and process worksheets, set up and operate assigned machines and equipment.
  • Meet established standards for productivity and quality.
  • Follow lead’s instructions on building units.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of related experience; assembler level 1–5 varies by experience and responsibility.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong blueprint‑reading experience/skills.
  • Proficient with hand tools such as torque wrench, drill, and inspection tools.
  • Ability to read measuring devices such as rulers, tape measures, and scales.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Legal right to work in the U.S. and authorized to access export‑controlled information and source code.
Desired Qualifications
  • IPC‑610 and J‑STD‑001 certification.
  • Proficient MS Word and Excel.

Physical Demands

The job requires regular standing, walking, hand use, and reaching. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and adjustable focus. The position requires the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Compensation & Employment

Employee type:
Hourly.
Annual salary range: $40,000 – $55,000.
Overtime available on weekdays and weekends as needed.
