We are seeking a seasoned and innovative EDM Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a key player in the development and improvement of our manufacturing processes, utilizing their expertise in EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) to drive efficiency and productivity. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on exciting projects, and to be part of a team that is passionate about manufacturing and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities- Developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
- Designing and implementing robust CNC programs for EDM machines to optimize productivity and quality.
- Utilizing Solid Works to design fixtures and tooling for the manufacturing process.
- Applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes.
- Conducting First Article Inspections (FAI) to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues.
- Ensuring all manufacturing processes and procedures are in compliance with AS9100 quality standards.
- Providing technical support and training to production staff as needed.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, specifically with EDM.
- Proficiency in Solid Works and CNC programming.
- Strong knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Experience conducting First Article Inspections (FAI).
- Previous experience in an AS9100-certified manufacturing environment.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to take initiative and drive projects to completion.
