Electrical Assembly II LL.US.51-2028

Volt is immediately hiring an Electrical Assembly II (Electro-Mechanical Assembler) for a leading aerospace and defense manufacturer in San Diego, CA.

As an Electrical Assembly II (Electro-Mechanical Assembler) you will:

  • Perform electro-mechanical assembly, repair, and rework of transformers, power supplies, and magnetic assemblies in support of Patriot and Aegis radar systems.
  • Read, interpret, and follow detailed work instructions, engineering documentation, electromechanical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electronic schematics.
  • Execute production hand-soldering operations in accordance with Raytheon and industry standards.
  • Assemble, route, connect, and secure electrical and mechanical components using hand tools and measurement devices.
  • Inspect assemblies and completed work for accuracy, quality, and compliance with engineering specifications.
  • Utilize computer systems and internal software tools for documentation, traveler processing, and production data entry.
  • Support fabrication, modification, and repair activities in accordance with supervisor direction and technical documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to all Environmental Health & Safety procedures.
  • Work primarily in a seated position with occasional standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, or climbing ladders/step stools as needed.
  • Lift, carry, or move components weighing up to 25 lbs. unassisted.

This is a full-time opportunity. 2nd Shift. 9/80 work schedule.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

    Skills & Qualifications
    • HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g., G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
    • Minimum 1 year of relevant assembly or manufacturing experience.
    • Minimum 1 year of production hand-soldering experience.
    • Experience reading and interpreting electromechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and work instructions.
    • Ability to use hand tools, measurement devices, and basic manufacturing equipment.
    • Basic computer skills and ability to learn internal production systems.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining quality standards.
    • Ability to lift, carry, or move components up to 25 lbs. unassisted.
    • Ability to work independently and effectively within a small, highly skilled team.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workmanship quality.
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Preferred

    Skills & Qualifications
    • J-STD-001 soldering certification.
    • Experience in electro-mechanical assembly, wiring, or electrical testing.
    • Familiarity with defense manufacturing environments.
    • Experience working in AS9100 or ISO-certified manufacturing facilities.
    • Experience working effectively in a small, high-performing team environment.

Schedule:

9/80, 2nd Shift 2:30pm-12am

** Training may be conducted on 1st shift prior to transition to 2nd shift**

Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour
