CNC Lathe Machinists
We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinists to join a precision manufacturing team in Poway, CA. This role is responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathe machines to manufacture high-quality precision components while maintaining production efficiency, safety, and quality standards. There are multiple shifts available for this role.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically skilled, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate CNC lathe machines for precision machining of metallic materials
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, sketches, and technical specifications
- Perform tool changes, offsets, and machine adjustments to maintain quality standards
- Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision measuring tools
- Maintain tight tolerances and high-quality workmanship
- Monitor and manage tool life performance
- Perform basic deburring and rework as needed
- Troubleshoot machining and production issues
- Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and quality
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Perform operator-level machine maintenance and support additional production tasks as needed
- Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards
- Minimum 3 years of CNC lathe machining experience required
- Experience using G-codes required
- Ability to work independently on second shift
- Strong blueprint reading and machining interpretation skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong shop math and measurement skills
- Familiarity with general manufacturing safety and quality systems
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Willingness to support multiple tasks within a manufacturing environment
- Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred
- Experience machining aerospace materials including Inconel, titanium, and stainless steel
- Tool life management experience preferred
- Experience with 3-axis machine setup is a plus
- Pay Range: $25.00 – $40.00/hour DOE
- Additional 10% shift differential for second shift employees
- Full-time, non-exempt opportunity
