As a Cleanroom Technician, you will perform kitting, filling, and packaging operations to prepare specialized cartridges and flow cells for shipment to customers across the United States and internationally. You will work in a temperature-controlled cleanroom environment, operate process equipment, follow detailed work instructions stored in a cloud-based application, and ensure all products meet strict quality and labeling standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform kitting operations by assembling manufactured cartridges and preparing them for shipment according to detailed work instructions.
• Carry out filling operations, ensuring the correct product is placed in the appropriate area of the flow cell, following documented procedures.
• Operate process equipment such as balances, pneumatic presses, pumps, heat sealers, and other production machinery in a safe and accurate manner.
• Use a heat sealing machine to correctly position the flow cell, place foil, and initiate the sealing process, maintaining high attention to detail to prevent damage and product rejects.
• Place sealed flow cells into labeling equipment, align them correctly so the QR code, lot number, and batch record information can be read automatically by the sequencer.
• Ensure labels and QR codes are properly applied and readable so data collection systems can accurately capture product information.
• Operate equipment that trims excess foil from flow cells, maintaining a clean, finished product that meets manufacturing specifications.
• Perform simple bulk formulations as needed, following laboratory and batch record instructions.
• Conduct visual inspections of products and packaging to identify defects, misalignments, or nonconformities and escalate issues as required.
• Follow batch record documentation and inspection procedures to maintain accurate production records and traceability.
• Use cloud-based computer applications to access and follow work instructions and production documentation.
• Collaborate with a small, cross-functional team and support fill and pack line activities, contributing to efficient workflow and high manufacturing yield.
• Communicate clearly with team members and leadership regarding production status, issues, and process improvements.
• Adhere to attendance and reporting procedures for planned and unplanned absences, especially during the first 30 days of employment.
• Follow all cleanroom protocols, including gowning procedures and safety guidelines, to maintain product integrity and a controlled environment.

Essential Skills

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred, particularly in cleanroom or laboratory environments.
• Experience or comfort leading a fill and pack line in a production setting.
• Ability to perform filling operations with small volumes (less than 1 mL) with precision and care.
• Team player mindset with a strong sense of collaboration and support for colleagues.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to follow instructions and share information effectively.
• Ability to use Outlook and Microsoft Teams for communication and coordination.
• Comfort working with laboratory processes, batch records, and inspection activities.
• Ability to perform visual inspection and labeling tasks with high attention to detail.
• Willingness and ability to work in a cleanroom environment with required gowning and safety equipment.
