* Position Summary:

** Under general supervision, the Blackmer Pump Technician evaluates, modifies, repairs, and rebuilds Blackmer pump products.

This position will involve approximately 80% Shop and 10% in field repair activity and 10% administration activity.

* Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

*** Conducts pump, unit open/ inspections, and rebuild in accordance with Blackmer drawings and process
* Maintains tools, safety equipment, instruments, and materials, specific to pump, motor, and equipment maintenance and repairs
* Operates a variety of equipment including hand and power tools as needed to construct, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment. Maintains and cares for all equipment and tools. Performs cleaning, lubricating of tools as required.
* Performs Shipping and Receiving duties that includes creating shipping labels for government furnished material (GFM), receiving parts and conducting inventory audits
* Operates forklifts
* Constructs plywood shipping boxes
* Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with co-workers, outside partners, i.e. Government Inspectors
* Properly store, use, and dispose of waste/ HAZMAT, scrap metal in accordance with posted Local/ State regulations and Company policy
* Paint and prime product per customer and government specifications/ contracts
* Maintains regular attendance and adherence to prescribed work schedule to conduct job responsibilities
