At Raytheon, the foundation of everything we do is rooted in our values and a higher calling - to help our nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression. We bring the strength of more than 100 years of experience and renowned engineering expertise to meet the needs of today’s mission and stay ahead of tomorrow’s threat. Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.
Our San Diego Manufacturing Depot provides sustainment support for legacy Raytheon magnetics products used in Aegis and Patriot Radar systems. We build and repair electrical transformers, power supplies, and magnetic assemblies utilizing expertise in coil winding, electrical assembly, soldering, encapsulation, welding/machining, and electrical testing. As a team member of the San Diego Depot Factory, a Machinist is responsible for managing and executing detailed, machined parts.
We utilize horizontal and vertical mills, lathes, and other equipment in our shop. Our team often works on next-generation products that have the potential to be differentiators for our customers. This fast-paced factory is not a classic production machine shop as the work we do is anything but typical. A successful candidate will be working on projects varying from fabricating vital components for a critical production line, repair work to get essential equipment operational, or collaborating with design engineers to create a next-generation prototype.
