We are partnering with a well-known, fast-growing pet lifestyle brand seeking a Product Innovation Associate to support new product development from concept through commercialization. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a consumer-obsessed brand known for bringing trend-forward, innovative products to market.
The Product Innovation Associate supports end-to-end development of smaller categories and curated product programs, acting as a cross-functional connector across merchandising, design, sourcing, packaging, supply chain, QA, and marketing. This role translates trends and insights into actionable briefs while ensuring products launch on time, on trend, and on margin.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage full product lifecycle from concept alignment through costing, sampling, testing, packaging, and production readiness
- Maintain development trackers, milestone calendars, and timelines
- Partner with sourcing on costing rounds, vendor communication, and feasibility reviews
- Gather competitive insights, cultural signals, and trend research to inform innovation
- Translate consumer and category insights into actionable product briefs
- Coordinate cross-functional meetings and ensure alignment across teams
- Support packaging development with claims, copy inputs, and SKU documentation
- Track testing and compliance submissions
- Prepare samples and documentation for key reviews and milestone meetings
- Identify process improvements to increase speed and operational clarity
- 3–5 years of experience in Product Development, Product Design, Merchandising, Trend Research, or related consumer product field
- Experience in retail, private label, pet, home, lifestyle, or CPG preferred
- Strong interest in consumer trends and product innovation
- Proficiency in Adobe, Canva, PowerPoint, or similar visual tools
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple work streams
- Strong communication skills and cross-functional collaboration experience
