Social Media Manager
Commitment:

CUENTO is seeking a part-time Social Media Manager to support one of our partners - an out-of-the-box, disruptive brand preparing for a Q2 launch. This role blends strategy and hands-on execution, requiring someone who lives in the feed, understands emerging trends, and can translate cultural moments into engaging, compelling content that stops the scroll.
The ideal candidate is equal parts storyteller, strategist, and creator - capable of shaping a bold brand voice while building community and momentum ahead of launch and ongoing. The brand will be a content machine with a DTC product. It's an edgy brand and the ideal candidate has a strong sense of humor, a witty writing style, and can push the limits while still staying on brand.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute a launch-driven social media strategy aligned with brand positioning, campaign milestones, and product storytelling.
- Manage day-to-day social presence with a focus on engagement, listening, replying, and creating culturally relevant content.
- Build and maintain content calendars that balance campaign messaging, product teases, trend-based moments, and community interaction.
- Capture, create, and publish compelling short-form and platform-native content designed to drive awareness and conversation.
- Collaborate with CUENTO and partner teams to ideate bold, disruptive concepts that embody brand personality and differentiate in the social space.
- Identify and leverage trends, sounds, formats, and creator behaviors to inform content and increase discoverability.
- Monitor performance and provide insights to optimize creative, cadence, and channel strategy.
- Support pre-launch hype, launch moments, and post-launch momentum through strategic storytelling and community building.
- 3-5+ years of social media management and content creation experience, ideally supporting emerging or challenger brands.
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging, high-performing content across platforms (Instagram, Tik Tok, You Tube Shorts, X, etc.).
- Strong understanding of social trends, pop culture, and platform behaviors with a proactive mindset for identifying opportunities.
- Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone for bold, disruptive brand voices.
- Experience capturing and editing mobile-first video and photography; comfort with quick-turn content production.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data and translate insights into creative optimizations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a flexible, part-time workload and meet deadlines.
- Collaborative, entrepreneurial, and comfortable working in a fast-moving launch environment.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom) or equivalent tools preferred.
