Overview
Volunteers are the heartbeat of Girl Scouts—and as a Regional Support Specialist, you ll be their go-to support. In this role, you ll uplift adult volunteers and girl members throughout your region, helping transform ideas and resources into powerful experiences that allow every girl to discover the full impact of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE).
Your Impact- Recruit, train, and develop collaborative regional and service unit volunteer teams in your assigned area and serve as the primary point of contact
- Coach, support, and celebrate volunteers who lead troops, groups, and programs
- Build strong relationships across communities as the primary point of contact for regional volunteers
- Empower volunteers to confidently use systems such as Volunteer Toolkit, Volunteer Essentials, and other council-provided materials
- Partner with internal teams to deliver meaningful training, resources, and recognition
- Help volunteers navigate challenges, resolve conflicts, and grow with confidence
- Support membership growth and retention so more girls can belong and lead
- Ensure volunteers feel equipped using tools, systems, and council resources in a timely manner
- Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- One year of demonstrated work experience supporting volunteers or working in a people-centered, mission-driven role
- Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities with empathy, organization, and care
- Appreciation for diverse communities and a commitment to inclusive support
- Ability to effectively mediate volunteer conflicts, while supporting positive outcomes for Girl Scouts
- Comfort with technology and learning new systems
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings/weekends and travel locally
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Commitment to the Girl Scout Promise and Law

The salary range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00 (DOE).
