DONATE: DIY Drive to Support Individuals and Families Experiencing Homelessness
Are you considering hosting a drive? Dreams for Change would be honored to be the beneficiary.
All year long, the individuals and families we serve are in need of essential items. Your DIY Drive can help support participants in our Safe Parking and Safe Sleeping programs.
Most Needed Items- New and lightly used clean blankets. Please avoid king-size and infant blankets.
- Full-size hygiene supply products. Please avoid travel-size items.
- Towels
- Tarps
- Pet supplies
It is always a good time to help those in need. Your drive helps keep participants warm, supported, and equipped with basic necessities throughout the year.
How You Can Help:Create your own DIY Drive.
All you need is a flyer and a plan. Share your drive with friends, family, coworkers, faith groups, schools, or community organizations. Choose a time and place for people to drop off items to you or a designated location.
- Schedule delivery of donated items with Dreams for Change
- No prior experience needed
- Comfortable with outreach such as sharing flyers or emailing
- Organized and able to coordinate collection logistics

Donations are typically scheduled and received at the Dreams for Change main office in the Kearny Mesa area of East Mission Valley. Groups interested in distributing their donations must coordinate 2 weeks in advance, and background checks will be conducted on all individuals attending. Send a message for more information.

Community service hours cannot be verified for in-kind donation opportunities such as this drive.
