ASCENDtials assists those in the BIPOC community in dismantling institutionalized Isms within the U.S. workforce by offering workshops that empower them. Our non-profit organization focuses on building cosmic consciousness through our experiential learning programs, healing sessions, and workshops, and environmental programs so that they can successfully advocate for humanity and the environment.

The Philanthropy volunteer is critical to our overall organizational success and will be responsible for helping organize activities to raise funds or otherwise solicit and gather monetary donations or other gifts for our organization. You will support the fundraising team in designing and producing promotional materials. You will help raise awareness of our work, goals, and financial needs to prospective donors and sponsors.

• Research potential prospects, identifying the donors with greater capacity, and manage the prospect pipeline. This includes researching state and federal political giving, philanthropic giving, and PAC giving, among other resources that help to identify net worth.
• Provide admin assistance to the Director with scheduling meetings, coordinating events, calendar and contacts maintenance, meeting preparation, follow-up, and general fundraising activities.
• Coordinate virtual events, board meetings and donor briefings, including the outreach, registration, and tech needs.
• Assist with preparing written and email correspondence, donor profiles, volunteer briefings, donor solicitations, emails, donor updates, reports, and proposals.
