Training for Playhouse Building Assistants
Are you interested in putting your construction skills to use? Maybe you want to learn some construction skills or teach others. This could be the role for you! San Diego Habitat for Humanity's Playhouse team is looking for energetic volunteers to help them lead groups in building children’s playhouses. You don’t need to have any prior knowledge or skills; they will teach you everything you need to know!
This training session will show you how playhouses are put together, what needs to be painted, and how to lead groups in this process. Don’t worry though, a Habitat staff member will always be there with you to lead the group. Join Habitat for their annual Playhouse Competition on Friday, April 17 in Escondido!
The playhouses you help build will provide children with a secret world where they can create make-believe scenarios that foster their development, leadership, and creativity. They also help San Diego Habitat raise funds to advance their mission of building homes, community, and hope. Join in this unique way to give back to your community by building playhouses for local children, military or veteran families, and children’s centers in San Diego!
