RN - Surgical Acute - Mercy San Diego - Nights

Job Overview

This is a benefited, full‑time RN position working 12‑hour night shifts at Scripps Mercy San Diego campus in the Hillcrest community.

In this Surgical Acute role you will provide care for general surgical patients, including bariatric, orthopedic, spinal, urology, medical, telemetry, and trauma cases. You will be involved in continuous and manual bladder irrigation, suprapubic urinary catheter care, nephrostomy drain management, wound V.A.C. therapy, orthopedic brace care, and patient‑controlled analgesia infusions.

The unit is known for its high employee engagement and patient satisfaction.

This position is eligible for New Hire and Relocation Incentives up to $7,000. Ineligible candidates include internal candidates and rehires who left Scripps less than three years ago.

• At least one year RN experience
• Graduate from an accredited nursing school
• Current CA State RN license
• American Heart Association BLS certification

• At least one year of acute Med/Surg RN experience
• At least one year of Acute Long Term Care experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Bariatric Certification preferred
